OUR STORY
Mutt & Jeff's Grooming is a full service dog grooming salon. We are located in Snow's Corner Plaza in Orrington, Maine near River Road Veterinary Hospital. Our focus is to provide professional dog grooming matched with excellence in client services and affordable prices. Open year- round, we groom dogs in the local community and dogs on holidays in Maine.
Owners Jackie (a.k.a. "Mutt"), from Orrington and Jeff (a.k.a. "Jeff"), from Brewer, met in March 2000. In 2008 they found themselves at a cross road in their careers (Jackie being in the mental health field and Jeff in the service industry). Over dinner they asked themselves what they were passionate about. Both realized they had similar interests; animals and helping people. Having surrounded themselves with animals their whole lives, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, and ferrets, it was a natural career switch.
That night Mutt & Jeff's Grooming was formed.
The basic concept behind Mutt & Jeff's Grooming includes: a grooming shop that resembles a human hair salon, providing assistance to help people manage their time, providing a service that supports dogs physical and emotional health, affordable prices and equipment that is accessible and comfortable for both the smallest and biggest breeds.
Jackie and Jeff are Certified Pet Groomers, who completed a 400 hour course in professional pet grooming. Jackie has been a certified Veterinary Assistant since 1994. Jeff has been in the service industry since 1978.
